now that i have pledged and i am a backer...?

so now that i have pledged and i am a backer.. how/when do i get to download the beta for the episodes 1-5? it seemed to me after reading it that beta opened in december of 2013, so i should be able to download it somewhere....

Right now, the game is in alpha, so beta has not started yet. However, they have alpha testing one weekend a month, and the upcoming weekend is April 24-27th. Hang on until then and go crazy in New Britannia when servers open again? The SotA team will remind you of upcoming alpha releases in their newsletter, so you won't miss it.

There is no beta yet and we are still in Pre-Alpha. Release 4 just finished last week and you missed it. Normally the Pre Alpha releases only last a few days and they come out in waves, by this schedule: Pre-Alpha Release Schedule

It may be your lucky day though, because today is the 1-year anniversary of SotA's Kickstarter campaign, and they reopened Pre-Alpha Release #4 all day today as part of the celebration I shall be making an appearance myself this evening!

 

At the moment Release 4 is online tonight only for the 1st year anniversary (the next chance to try it out will be end of the month.
