Are you referring to SotA at RTX? There was a snippet in the latest update. https://www.shroudoftheavatar.com/?p=41588 SotA at RTX 2014!Some of you may recall that we launched our Kickstarter campaign in March 2013 with a live broadcast from the Rooster Teeth studios here in Austin, Texas. We’re excited to announce that Shroud of the Avatar will be showing at the RTX Convention hosted by Rooster Teeth, July 4-6. Alienware is providing their kicka** X51 gaming rigs to power the game demos, and Plantronics is furnishing their awesome RIG headsets so attendees have an optimal game audio experience! If you’re a fan of Plantronics Gaming Headsets (like we are), then check out their Plantronics Gaming Facebook page, and if you like what you see then give them a “Like”! If you’re at the convention then stop by, say Hi, and check out the latest version of the game (we’re in booth #235)
Marketing works too well on me. I recently bought a new Alienware computer and I'm planning to purchase a Plantronics Rig headset soon. I'm going to be all set for R8!
Yeah that's the info I was fishing for!! Thanks I did not get to log in much for R7 and by the time I started to get my bearings it was over.
I've been thinking of buying an Alienware X51. Does anyone know what the memory, GPU, etc. build out is for the RTX machines? What's the minimum to run SotA maxing out all the visual options?
********************** I purchased the X51 about 6 months ago and it works great, I have 2 terabytes of memory. My only regret is that I didn't buy the I5 or I7 version of the computer, but the conservative side of me took over and I want that moment back to do over sheeesh. I don't know the minimum to run Sota but you will be good with your X51. I so far have no problems with any game I have tried. ******cheers to you******
Did you perhaps mean "disk space" ? 2,048 Gigabytes of RAM memory on today's market would be upwards of 19 thousand dollars (though maybe one can get a discount for bulk purchasing).
Yes NRaas you are correct. My error lol. Actually when I bought it the specs said 2 terabytes disk space but when I look at the details on my computer it says: total size of hard disks 1849 GB. Disk partition (C) 1635 GB Free. My technical language is limited, but I do try lol. What a braggart I seemed
Thanks Majoria70. I knew what you meant. I keep going back and forth on buying now or waiting a few more months hoping for better for cheaper.
