    Loved it Sir Frank! What a great interview and thanks for asking my question! Interesting to hear that Denis' favorite pieces were Ultima VI and Ultima Underworld! Now we just need to find the black and white pictures that he talked about! :)

    Although I did drop in to see the folks at Portalarium, this trip was planned just to interview Denis.

    It was originally going to be the two of us chatting in a hotel conference room, but Denis arranged for us to use Scott's house.

    The day before the interview, I was hanging out with Rustic Dragon, and he told me that although he had met Denis, they'd never had time to talk, and Rustic had some questions for me to ask. The questions were complicated and detailed, and I said there was no way I was going to be able to remember the details and ask the questions accurately, and invited Joseph to come along and ask his questions.

    We had a pre-rabble lunch-and-rabble to get warmed up, and then Denis and I started the interview while Scott and Rustic stepped into another room and closed the door.
    About an hour into the interview I called Rustic in to ask his questions, and I invited Scott to jump in too.

    Aside from the camera failing, I thought things went pretty well.

    I can't thank those guys enough.

    After the interview, I packed my stuff into the car and started the journey home. I listened to the audio between Austin and Ft Worth, and was relieved to find that it was perfect. Even if I had no video, the audio would do. I spent the night in Denton, TX, where I was able to download the video from my backup camera, and even if the resolution was not great, I still had video I could use for three quarters of the show.

    If I can land another interview, I'll have to limit the time to an hour and a half.
    Maybe I'll eventually learn not to stammer and stumble over my words.
    I get pretty nervous dealing with people face-to-face.

    Great interview, thanks for doing this @Sir Frank! It was great to see Rustic again and to hear Scott and Denis talk about the early history of SotA. Now I really wonder how SotA would be if they revealed all that art and the KS campaign had succeeded on that original concept instead...I'm actually even more interested in playing in that world now. :)

    I think I've found most of the artwork referenced in the interview.
    What I still need:
    Scientific American Article (circa 1968) article about computer graphics with shaded rectangle Denis talks about.
    Good examples of Wing Commader ships that Denis created.
    Image of the avatar walking into town, viewed from low angle. (got this one)
    Storyboard with Raven branding the avatar.

    The one that seems surrounded by ghosts is the Scientific American Article (circa 1968) article about computer graphics with shaded rectangle Denis talks about.

    The following should be easy for real fans:
    Good examples of Wing Commader ships that Denis created.
    Storyboard with Raven branding the avatar.
