I think it's going to eat me. It's an unholy beast that is clearly out to eat avatars.

I've seen eagles before. I've heard the sounds they make. This eagle is different. It thirsts for blood, or maybe brains.

Ever since I got this eagle it's made a blood chilling growling sound, like some demon-posessed bear or a hell hound. I dismiss it and the horrible sound stops, but I know it's still there, in my pack, just waiting for it's chance to fly free and rip out my entrails if I go AFK.

Actually, your pretty safe calling out the barn owl 3 times in front of a mirror, it'll just appear and say "who? who?" Right??

There was a helmet like this in WoW. I think I was one super rare mat away from getting it (and the recipe, which I believe fell from the same Boss).

OK, I'll let you all in on the secret...o_O

~The Super Secret SOTA Avian Project~
For years now, I've been wondering just how we could better our flying friends into some deeper flying fun o_O because currently, they just look good while flying around us. Well... I think I've come up with somewhat of my own answer...
"Maybe you can come up with one of your own" :)!'

In UO, we could train up our pets to do amazing feats of skill, such as training up a pet rabbit to withstand a grueling bout of combat. Sure they could never fight as well as just withstand the bout, but that was never the point in such endeavors. The point was "just because we could do it". So let's just suppose that we could do the same type of thing here, "yet have some type of point to it, such as bird racing".

"There's a Bat's Chance in Hell of This Every Becoming a Thing"... but here's my idea anyway :)
The amount of time we spend in the game running around with our bird gains it more speed. Then at a given time and place, we set out a "Avian Loft" and we all stand at some sort of starting line. Then a lever is pulled attached to the avian loft and all our birds then fly to it, their place finishing recorded by the loft.

That's it pure and simple, about the race that hasn't a bat's chance in hell, of ever becoming a thing :p

Anyone's better ideas (no matter how crazy) on how to better our flying fun please feel free to "make it a thing" for us all to enjoy ;)
    ~Time Lord~

The raven used to grunt and growl. Now it says "Caw!"
    So there is hope. :)

My owl makes the same unholy noises. I think I'm abandoning all hope.

Unless somehow Time Lord's idea of bird racing actually happens. Then I might encourage this bestial aggression and just hope they don't turn on me.
