What is best way to raise Alchemy for enchantments

I am just getting started on this so no clue as to what is the best route to work alchemy up. I understand the need for increasing skill to socket gems but whew.....right now will take me forever. Not to mention the cost of gathering stuff to do it. But would like imput on easiest way to work it up

I think most people do a few potions as they have mats and make scrolls. Teleports and Recalls actually have value and sell. You won't get rich, but you will level up your skill.

Of course use anything you have an abundance of. My mining left me with thousands of shards and 50 or so gems. As soon as my alchemy was high enough I crafted and cut those, giving me several levels. If you have lots of reagents, make potions (though they are worthless atm) or, chop a lot of wood and make scrolls. Hope that helps a little and good luck.

Once u get to point of enchanting gear with 80% success rate, just throw an emchant on everything. Goes up pretty steadily

 

Thanks for the info. I kinda figured that much but wanted to just make sure. I just need to get mats built up so i can do it all.

 

Health potions are cheap and can be resold to the alchemy merchant to make up some cost. I got to double gem socketing on only 3000 gp (or thereabouts).

 

How do you raise enchantment without enchanting?

 

I choose potions that require corpse wax as it seems to be a byproduct of grinding undead mobs.

 

Guess that didnt make sense eh . But kinda just ment toss an enchant x1 on everything you can, and youll be able to do it pretty succesfully on important things in no time

 

Hehe! Ok good, I thought I was doing it wrong! It's gonna take me a long time to raise Enchantment!

 

Made some jewelry today. Tiara, ring and necklace. Not too bad on the enchants. Enchanted two shields, wooden and triangle....but went to enchant my 2 hand sword i made and broke it. Grrrr. SO now i am back to sword and shield fighting for a bit til i can remake my 2 hand. LOL.....but i doubt i can make it as good as it was...hopefully i can make it better. I made some recall scrolls as well....but i need to harvest more gold ore and other mats to get anywhere. Gonna send the hubby out to bring home some stuff ...but he is usually good about grabbing everything that is harvestable. Just wish there were some gold spots in Hidden Vale. I hate running to Novia. LOL

 

Never ever risk your main gear in enchants or masterworking without a spare
You learn that quickly.

 

I have a 80% break rate on stuff I can't afford to lose (or have no replacement)

Funny how that works.

200 wolf hats and I nail 2x2 or x3 MW/enchants fairly regularly... Lol
