Release 60 Livestream – Nov 30, 2018 (Cornucopia of Dragons, Dungeons, Roleplay)


The Release 60 Livestream is set for Friday November 30! All Avatars from around the world are welcome to join us in the livestream activities. We will be doing deep dives, answering questions, having sales, handing out prizes, and tracking towards stretch goals.  By popular demand we have resurrected a set of stretch goals we missed from previous releases (and added a few new roleplay ones) to make a Cornucopia of Dragons, Dungeons and Roleplay in honor of the harvest season!

LIVESTREAM SCHEDULE (Central Time Zone)

Monthly livestreams are on Twitch and include answers to your gameplay questions, world building tours, prize giveaways, sales on items, and more! Here is the schedule:

STRETCH GOALS (Cornucopia of Dragons, Dungeons, and Roleplay!)

As a special bonus, we are offering funding rewards to any player that makes a minimum purchase of $5 during a twelve hour window during the day of the livestream, on November 30 from 12:00 PM to 11:59 PM CDT (Nov 30 17:00 to Dec 1 05:00 UTC). By popular demand we have resurrected a set of stretch goals we missed from previous releases (and added a few new roleplay ones) to make a Cornucopia of Dragons, Dungeons and Roleplay in honor of the harvest season!

All purchases during the twelve hour window will count towards the stretch goals, not just the four hours of the livestream! Also participation in the Rewards Program counts towards our stretch goal totals!

    Hi there, I have a few quick questions:

    Now that we have 40 minute foods with stat buffs, can we revisit the other recipes with 40 and 60 minute timers and give them similar buffs where none exist?

    Is it possible to make the chat colors for Zone and Universe different? White and light grey are hard to distinguish in a wall of chat text.

    Could we please have village, town sized water platforms that we can craft? would also be great if all items could be placed on these platforms like fireplaces, streetlights, etc! Take a look at my Fish Market at NBM for refernce :)

    1. Unity is supposed to get a massive CPU performance boost from the Entity Component System (ECS) and Burst compiler. Is SotA too far in development to take an advantage of these long overdue performance improvements in Unity?

    2. Do you plan to host playtesting sessions for new players to see how they approach the game, where they spent their time and what confuses them? I know that Ron Gilbert used playtesting a lot to polish Thimbleweed Park, but I haven’t heard you mention playtesting.

    3. Any plans for a story mode, in the vain of Divinity: Original Sin 2 – Definitive Edition, for offline players who favor exploration and story over combat?

    1: Now that we have weight limits enabled, how about percentile based weight reduction on our equipped back-packs ? A well seated (balanced) back pack can let you carry things a lot more comfy-er than other mode of carrying.

    2: We need a scalable fish emotes such as:
    – Flourish Fish
    – Juggle Fish
    – Fish Slap (in the face)

    Question 1: Could you add Relative Length by Species in addition to Absolute Lengths to Trophy Fish Stats? I.E. If the average length of a King Salmon is 2, and you catch one that’s 2.5, add 1.25 to the stats for the fish to show that it’s 25 percent larger than the average King Salmon.
    Like: Fish Length 2.5 (1.25), or: Fish Length: 2.5 (125%)

    Question 2: Will a Candle Helmet pattern applied to a Player Crafted plate helm retain the flame VFX and be a light source?

    Question 3: Now that the Decay Penalty for Death is no more, can’t you simplify the Settings in the Skills window by removing Maintaining? I would also suggest changing the – for Not Training to a Yellow Circle.
    (Green Up Arrow for Training, Yellow Circle for Not Training, Red Down Arrow for Unlearning)

    1. Could we have eternal patterns form masks to us on gear
    2. Can we get auto mail reminder or tools for POT GOV/Stewards to let people know when vendors are inactive? Takes a long time drawing up letters to remind people that their vendors are sitting or not active
    3. Can we see more staffs for other schools like that of the chaos and ancient death staff added? Would love to see something done for Air , Fire and Earth etc.

    For player made dungeons, could we add breakable and hidden walls / tunnels to our list of build options.

    Regarding Vendors. Say a player wants to purchase a partial stack of some item. Can we setup a per item price option rather than requiring a full stack to be sold. Think microtransactions.

    In order to help alleviate the feeling of “I’m not making any progress because I’m testing on QA”, how about keeping track of an avatar’s earned experience on QA and then gifting that earned experience to the avatar on live once QA closes? You could even incentivize it by offering double experience on QA.

    1. Is dual boxing or multi-boxing allowed? (No macros, purely controlled manually.)

    2. Currently water property marker is very difficult to be located especially for city size due to the land near water is usually not flat. Could we have means to place water property marker without the need of partial land part / adjacent to land?

    3. Can we have more hair styles? There are only few currently.

    Question 1: I understand that you changes the overworld and towns to multiplayer in order to allow new players feel that the world was more populated. Has this had the desired effect to drive new player adoption? Has this or the Free to Play change been more effective? Is there any chance that we can regain the ability to play privately everywhere (even if it requires additional methods, such as a subscription tier)? I hate to say it, but my desire to log in has DRASTICALLY gone down since this change; not everyone wants an MMO, which is why we backed a Selective Multiplayer game to begin with.

    2. Suggest to have huge gates like those between Central Brittany and other Brittany cities available for player to craft / purchase.

    Maybe a “I survived Hilt Fortress mug” ? Been here a while looking for blueprints ;-)

    Could we please get recipes to use gems or gem fragments to make FISHING LURES, preferably with increased chances of catching specific type of fish based on gem used?

    Could we get a means to break gems back into fragments?

    1. Eternal Pattern for Heraldry on Crown Merchants are only available for Rectangle Shield. When can we purchase all eternal heraldry pattern with crowns?

    2. Will it be possible to sell bags with items at vendors sometimes?

    3. What do you think, when will we be able to enter the new lands of Episode 2 for the first -early access- time? :)

    Now that we have double exp all the time there is no reason to hoard Arcane Catalyst used to turn in the quest inside sieges, can we please turn in more then one a day? I now have just under 800 of them and the number keeps rising.
