What degree of ‘flinching’ and ‘reaction’ to damage is planned for both the player and the monster in combat. Are multiple animations, depending on type and degree of damage, in planning?

Will I be able to play SOTA with a console controller?

If so How will combat work with a console controller?

Please lay out the version where I can turn the subtitles on as you did before. So I can translate and understand what we are talking in this video, Thank you!

As much as I am up for discussing the numbers and the textures (what seems to be popular), I was hoping to see some discussions on the actual performance and support of the game’s software itself. Please don’t get me wrong because I do love the changes made so far. I even bought a pet just now to show more support!
However, In the spirit of Lord Blackthorn, I feel like we should just go right for the throats of Bethesda and Blizzard buy giving them some chaotic competition from this tri-platform title. I mention those 2 specifically because of the fluid experience that comes with playing their newer games, that is, the very low input latency within the UI and the very low latency with client communication to servers — namely, the engine versions used for games like WoW 5.x.x, the debugged multi-player version of Skyrim, The Elder Scrolls Online. I have no idea what blessings Mr. Carmack brought them in the past several years, but they really started to nail the interface latency with Skyrim when it came to transitioning between the 3rd person and FPS view. Fallout 3 and Oblivion were just awful by comparison, and TESO looks leaps and bounds ahead of them all now.
I am determined to help push SoTA all the way to the top because I see great potential given its early signs of Linux and Mac support. I apologize if it seems like I am criticizing because I am not at all. I really REALLY want to see them go down, and I want to see it done at the hands of Lord British’s and Lord Blackthorne’s armies.
Again, this is not meant to be insulting or hurtful at all. I personally am going to love SoTA no matter what, because Richard is the only guy I know who can make playing a game feel like a trip to The Renaissance Faire. The details I have mentioned above are specifically related to combat, and they are the key points (I believe) to why those 2 companies are able to keep selling the same things over and over again with minor updates and minimal content added. Another great example of this is Epic. Once they had Unreal 2k4 fully optimized, they started to license and milk every engine version they could build on top of it, but it’s not really going to support anything from your point of view with developing the MMO, other than probably the first-person aspect of it. All of these things with the software are going to have a HUGE impact on the pvp, though. I must admit, the only things that kept me going back to WoW or re-installing Skyrim were the incredible game play experiences on the hardcore end of the spectrum that I do not see anywhere else outside of an Epic or id title from Carmack.
Keep up the great work, by the way! ^__^

I have been reading on most of the Questions and they seem to be a bit Arghhh…..
As a current player of Ultima Online i was HOPING! to hear some questions into….Open PvP, as most players from UO loved the thrill!! The reason i highlight this its because on all MMO’s i have played NONE! give me the feeling of why would i join a guild, i think it makes the community unify and become one by helping each other.
I also was thinking that the tree is a bit arghhh…. why not set back into Skill points? cap the skill points and re train if needed, the DIVERSITY a toon could have in UO was so huge!!!
Where in old UO went wrong was on Trammel and on Power Scrolls! wy did they not make servers like Siege? but cut down on the servers list and merge them! who cares if we dont speak the same language…i think its better when ppl pick a different race
Tamers will be introduced?
I am sorry to write this message so rough and hope some ppl understand where i am coming from…just do not make a childish game please!!! make dungeons Randomize puzzles so it is not a set sequence all the time, maybe look into puzzles like Broken Swrod episodes which i found puzzling most of the times
i am just randomly shooting loads of useless information, but better ask than NOT TO!
Thanks a lot for giving LIFE to ULTIMA!!! i am really happy that this is going on or better happening
Kind Regards
Brandon
