Q1: can you please make a open floor plan version of the Obsidian inn it would make a great mausoleum.
q2: have you considered instead of adding crafting skill decay, using crafting skill point pool like a currency for example if a vary rare carpentry and blacksmith recipe cost 100k crafting xp each to learn.
As a more casual player it’s hard for me to keep track of, schedule, and attend all these micro telethons. Maybe an email reminder specifically for the telethons a few days before would be helpful. Are they on a set day of the month, like releases (last thursday)?
A great idea Sonja! We’ll put out an email that previous Friday, which is just a few days before hand. We do also want to be a bit careful with how often we spam you with updates :).
I would opt-in specifically for these, though I welcome all communications that you send out. I agree with her, up until the last two I’ve caught all of the telethons, and I don’t know why but I missed the last one and this one. Sucks waking up hours past to realize that you missed out. :/ I save all of my purchases/support for these things. Not your fault, I probably don’t pay well enough attention to all of the content in larger emails that I skim. But I second this, I’d love to receive a reminder close to the telethon so that I don’t miss out. I usually put it in my calendar with reminders, I just didn’t even know these were happening until after the fact.
Also if you ever want to get serious about providing an official mobile app that could leverage push notifications for these kind of important announcements/reminders maybe we could work together, get in touch if you are interested.
Tell me more about the row size keep looking home pictured on the add on store for the “Row 5 Story Prison basement. Is that pictured row home something new that will be out?

In earlier releases, some five skull areas (like Deep Ravenswood) were given ‘champ’ type areas. Will the Crag Foothills be getting this type of treatment? If so, when?
POT tools have been mentioned in release notes in the past, when can we expect to see POT tools added and, aside from the lawn mower (is it a tree remover?) will we also be able to flatten-out land?
When we change scenes, we lose our buffs, so even though we get a few seconds of ‘protection’ where we cannot be killed, we are at a serious disadvantage vs any pvpers that are waiting to ambush us. Will we eventually be able to maintain our buffs during the scene transition?
Just to clarify this we don’t lose our 2 shrine blessings buffs which last over 9 hours when we leave scenes, nor 2 kinds of foods buffs we are able to also have at one time that have timed durations on them. I did test and casted buffs seem to disappear even when you enter a basement.
1) I know how much you love adding options, but could we please get an option to disable theft? I’ve stolen three items accidentally and paid the fine thanks to wonky hit boxes and pressing E. Something like Decoration Mode for naughty boys and girls.
2) On the topic of options, have you considered removing the merchant chat option, making it disabled by default, and then giving the option to enter a conversation by right clicking the NPC and choosing it in a menu? One fewer option to worry about cluttering up the interface.
3) Please consider November’s telethon rewards be Winter Holiday related so we’ll have them in R48 in December for use during the holidays. We’ll be getting Halloween’s telethon’s items in November, after Halloween!

#1) Completely agree. Add a dropdown list to allow “easy stealing” (the way it is now), “Confirmation” (a popup box saying “do you really want to steal this [Item]?”) and “No Stealing” (cursor still goes red, but clicking or E’ing on it does not take it).
#2) There is already an option to turn off Merchant conversations, and go straight to the Shop. It’s in the settings.

Q1: Now that we have a reaper, will a cowbell be added to the available instrument types?
Hey Chris, a great stat for the Postmortem would be: how many people had decay penalties Under 10K and how many had over 10K? I’m curious how many times people’s death decay couldn’t be covered off by the 10K xp bonus.
Also what do you think about adding the amount of death decay to the skills window? Would it be hard to do? If its a good idea and not hard to do, how about adding it for the next release?
Two others that might be interesting to hear about are:
1) What is the largest amount of xp loss that that anyone has incurred for a single death?
2) Hopefully you’ve been tracking decay amounts and can match it with adventure levels. If you plot adventure level against decay, at what adventure level would a player be at to lose 10K xp from decay?
Can we get some wand patterns? I think the only one we have are the Thorn eternal pattern, and that looks a little too feminine.
Some bow patterns would be nice too!

1) Please create an OPEN sign that automatically turns itself off after a day or three. That way active shopkeepers can let people know their inventory is updated, and maybe even move our shops indoors without losing all business.
2) Please also make letters similar to the new numbers, or signs that we can have visible (not – mouse tooltip) text on, so we don’t have to name our vendors S Mart, etc. Thus vendors can have people names, and the store has it’s name on the sign out front.
3) Please create a way to adjust the volume of the instruments we are playing in game. Some are too loud during certain songs, but would sound great if the musician could turn it down a bit.
I forgot the most important one, you put item sale and location back in the chat log, but forgot to put the price it sold for, so we still can’t use it.
Question: I had an idea to add a set of armor that could take extra damage off spells. But you need to take eyes off of dead players to make it work. Do you think that would work?
1) Can supply bundles open like containers so we can see what we get?
2) Tabor and kettle drum have the same sound, can one get a new sound some day?
3) Some day maybe placed items could be used but not taken, like instruments on stages, so people can play the accordian but not steal it?
I like the prison theme basement, would like more variations for village plots…

Question 1: How do minor repairs affects weapon/armor/shield durability?
For example, if I have an artifact at 100/100 and religiously minor repair it each time it gets to 99/100, will it at all slow down the need for major repairs and/or getting to 99/99?
Question 2: When wielding an off-hand weapon (say two daggers) is the only way to get the off-hand weapon to hit (and proc) to use the Offhand Attack glyph – can you confirm the auto-attack only attacks with the primary?
Question 1 When will there be some attention to the Passive bar. Not enough space for all the things needed on a regular basis and no way to swap them out. Need to be able to have additonal passive bars and swap them like we do combat decks. By the time i get done with planting..i then have to drag and drop icons again for things needed when out traveling/adventuring like potions and scrolls and such. Can we have a crafting bar at least.
Question 2 Are there going to be more claritive instructions on the quests. Not really alot of instruction for Banner quests and such. Yeah i know go figure it out but some folks have no idea what they are looking for or how to get them to work.
Question 3. Is there anyway we can have a walkway with steps or even steps for the devotional. It is very annoying to have to jump into each devotional to use it….or at least put a clicker on it so we can touch it and get the buff. I understand why it was changed but its more time consuming to do all that jumping about

Q3: Batch agriculture is a welcomed bonus, but harvesting water manually is still a time sink. Are there plans to update water harvesting as currently it’s more economical to buy water and farm gold for it than waste time using fountains?
Q1: Can we get an option to lock the camera zoom level? It gets really hard to see what’s going on sometimes, especially inside buildings, near objects, and in tight quarters..
Q2: Could the journal be adjusted to open to the latest entry (last page) not the earliest?
Q3: Can the recipe book be made searchable from the “B” menu – not a crafting station – and have recipes auto-sort alphabetically?

Why can we buy armor sets (ie eleven armor sets, ardoris armor sets… ) and items (day of the dead masks) on the addon store that cannot be displayed? I can understand that you may introduce new weapons or armor sets in the game that do not have immediate showing templates (though find it strange to introduce unfinished items), but find it quite unacceptable to sell sets for real money that are not fully functional. This hurts both yourself by not selling them for decoration purposes, and players who buy them for deco purposes and end up storing them in a chest with the hope that some day they may be able to display them. I was planning to buy the entire sets of armor from the store to display them in my armory, and stopped after realizing that these sets were not displayable (and even bugged when salvaged). At least, put a note, stating that showing templates are not yet available!

Thank you for your concern! They absolutely should be able to, and I know that our team has some of them in the bug fix process. Sometimes we haven’t gotten to older items yet, as they have to all be done individually. There are a few items also that are not meant to be placeable, but all of these I believe should.
I will ask our team right away on the status of these other pieces! You can expect them to be placeable in a future release.
I’d love to see some of the older items I purchased years ago – like the Admiral Outfits & Riding Outfits placeable!
1. Does training field dressing increase chance to get a carcass – wolf, bear, stag?
2. In Twins Foothills, I have had an obsidian stag drop a stag carcass instead of obsidian carcass. I think there is an open bug report for that and obsidian wolves, ETA on a fix for these?
3. Are the VIrtue Banners included in the quest items reset – do you have to get them again if you choose to do the story reset?
Virtue Banner Quests are not directly linked to the Path quests. I could be wrong

You can purchase anything at all that you like, even new store credit! As long as you spend $5 during this time period, you are included in winning all of the met stretch goals during the telethon.

Q1: Will we see the graphics colors matching the items before release? Example: craft the cotton merchant shirt and skirt. The icon shows the colors are navy, red and white. Yet the item is actually brown and grey undyed.
Q2: Will we see the dyed item colors matching before release? Example: dye something and put it in your backpack, on a vendor or on yourself. The graphics do not match whatever color it is dyed. Yes, the mouse over tells you but there’s no way for my customers to really know they like something dyed a certain way before they purchase.
1. I have been playing first person, as of late. I like using it when I’m in caves, or in buildings, and looking for items on floors and hard to find places. Could we be able to see our weapons, and or fists in first person view please? It would make playing in first person much more enjoyable.
2. Now that we have more non-combat skills, like the new Agriculture skills. Can we get some more non-combat bars, something that we can cycle through?
3. When I’m out hunting at night, I like using my night vision. I also don’t like using night vision in the day time so I can see all the great colors, and see the game in its full glory. Is there a way we can get a day and night indicator on the compass so that I don’t end up mission the day light?
When will we be able to place our jack o lanterns again?

Can houses with tax that has lapsed be stored somehow rather than everything ending up in a mess at the bank, for instance a Magic Mover slot, if one is available?
Can we get a warning before closure? In-game mail perhaps? Mine lapsed and I was playing every day. In-game mail would have saved me a lot of hassle.

Any thoughts on reworking/re-wording the intro for new players, since the game is supposed to be “classless”? The intro specifically recommends/sorts you into 1 of 3 “classes” based on the truth, love, or courage. (I like this, as its reminiscent of Ultima, with the questions, but it should maybe be changed up a little?)

Q1: I think it’s important, because of a classless system, not to talk in the intro about starting as a ranger, mage or fighter and so to have the freedom from beginning, choosing the weapon we like to use. Not explicit have to take the bow (path of love) or sword (path of courage), … It’s just the change of a few words. Instead of “take the bow” “take a weapon!” – every type should be provided and another choice to be a “mage or ranger …” deleted. Is this in your plans for polishing in Q4?
Q2: I also think it’s important, granting the same amount of starting skill points and equipment, equal, which path we decide to start with. I matched this, and there were significant differences. There are Threads existing about. Is this in your plans for polishing in Q4?
Q3: What about a Quest Story contest? Player providing ideas and you take the best. Could be each month/quarter one new special quest for the outlying places. And no one knows where to find We have to listen to rumors in some regions … Mypen, and I believe, others, too, just wait for a “yes!”

Q: What about the Pick Locks skill? Can we expect an icon for it and … maybe more?
It used to be that not having an icon ment the ability didn’t actually work. As time has progressed fewer and fewer skills have been in that state, but I assume that’s why it doesn’t have one (seeing as a meaningful lockpicking icon wouldn’t be hard to come up with).
Question 1: Would you consider making the Fine Oak Bookshelf its own item in the add-on store or for COTO instead of part of the Fine Oak furniture bundle?

Looking forward to the Postmortum. So much is happening and being fine tuned that you really have to keep up with it. And using the segway of fine tuned I would like to post my questions.
Q1: There are a lot instruments in the game but we need more. Just to mention a few: Vielle, Viol, Fiddle, Dulcimer, Cittern, and of course the Chittarone “a 6ft long Flute.
Q2: We need a way to display them in our music rooms. And for people to be able to take them from the display and play. We have Armor and Weapons racks so how about a Instrument “Rack”?
Q3: I have see many people selling sheet music and Cylinders. How about adding a music store next to the Book Store? Or split the building into 2 sides, one book and 1 music?
Hmmm what would these music stores sell since all except the add on store items are made by players? Like blank sheet music, instruments, and created songs from our own downloaded files. Just curious;)
There is a music merchant in game. They could be placed there and sell recipes for making instruments like they do now. But they could also sell crafting resources like lower grade strings, pre-made starter instruments, and instructions for creating your own music. Something like the rest of the merchants do now. You can buy garlic or grow it why not blank sheet music? You could also find sheets of music like you find books then when click on it you import it into your music folder.
Just trying to broaden the things you can do while exploring.

Q. now that we have batch farming is there a chance to have batch water collection based on the crafting table style so I could choose to draw up to 20 buckets of water and then the avatar takes the appropriate time to draw the buckets of water instead of constantly clicking on the mouse 20 times?

Q1: Can we get a larger shed type building or tent to put on the stages so we can hold festivals. Something like a large open tent or porch. Like this https://i.imgur.com/ffHJsZV.jpg. This could be placed on stage platforms or be a separate addition to the stage and would allow for larger outdoor performances. We could do Shakespeare in the park or music performances. Isn’t culture one of the virtues? It should be.
That would be nice…Like the pavillion and tent in Crooked Shanks. Very nice for parties

A question about the paper-doll and the stats window below it.
Is it possible to have an option where ONLY the stat box is on screen and not the paper-doll?
That way we could easily see stats and resists without have screen real estate take up by the paper doll.
Obviously we need to keep it as it currently stands too. This is an option, not a replacement.
Background: In previous telethon Chris mentioned he was going to try and change the timing reset from last received to a fixed point in the day of when the Oracle gives rewards (500/500) so it doesn’t become later and later in the day when you try to get it.
Q1: Do you have an idea what release this will be active?

Q1: Hot Bar – Would you consider in future when switching decks to save hotbar configurations (saving certain potions/glyphs with a certain deck).
Q2: Banish Undead skill – the current animations show more of an AOE type of effect when activated, yet it only attacks the targeted mob. Can this be made where it affects more than one enemy to match animation or animation changed (like searing ray) to target only one mob?

Q1 as we get closer and closer to launch less and less people seam to be logging in, what do you think are the main reasons with the current player base?

Q3. I know skill progression envolves multiple trees, is there any concern its too easy to take lots of skills to 80 after only a month or two of play? Not compairing this to uo or other games but some take 6 months to a year or more to become powerful.
1. Any thoughts on this concept? greed & grudge scrolls: Alchemy recipe that lets players imbue gold currency into a scroll. When X amount of players use the scroll, an instance is created for an easter egg hunt type of event.
example: 10 players use a 1000g greed scroll. The 10 players enter a queue, when the queue is satisfied all players are teleported to a random zone and 10 chests are randomly scattered through the zone with 1000g (+ standard chest loot?) The players then have to run through the zone trying to get all the chests.
scroll types: Grudge (PvP), Greed (PvE). If a player is disconnected or leaves before the event is started, that player’s 1000g is still included in the event when the instance is created….?
2. When I go to a boss location and someone is already there.. I usually go to friends mode because it will take another 10 min or whatever after that group kills the boss, plus the time it takes for them to kill the boss. Any thoughts on adding a PvP option to the Options/Multiplayer section for adventure zones? This would create a 3x boss farming scenario but the pvp mode would have attrition/player conflict. Q3 – We talked at SOTACON East about POT owners having more interactive types of adventures for their towns. We got the new Sieges, which are stupendous! Can we have different type of sieges(?) from Kobolds, Skeletons, bandits, etc. which react to POTs having other types of objects in our towns? Although sieges would be great, this could be as simple as spawning the Road Side Skeleton/Bandit outside the town.
Q4 – Can POT owners or house owners be allowed to purchase adventure tokens allowing a limited spawn of a certain MOBs? Such as placing a marker down to allow a set # of Skeletons to spawn inside their town centers, etc. This could also be used for the Forums requested Dungeons in basements. If so, in what episode would you expect this to be in?
Q3: As a merchant who sells tailored items, I have started working on a spreadsheet that tells me how much it costs to craft an item, based on me gathering/growing the resources. I then price my items around 3x what it costs to make which is what happens in the real world (except those who gouge people).
I have noticed a few mega unbalances. Example:
It costs 256 gp to make fancy merchant pants. It costs 5304 gp to make a fancy merchant shirt. I can’t sell that shirt for 15k. And that’s if it doesn’t have a +1 like the one I just crafted.
There are a number of unbalances like this in crafting. Where and to whom can we post them so they will be seen and corrected?
Yeah I’m starting to see more low ball pricing.. +10 items that are exceptional for 2k gold.. I know the + number doesn’t indicate the real strength of the item but the cost alone of 2 enchants, 2 masterworks, and the materials required to create an exceptional item are more than 2k gold. We saw another item that was +14 going for 4k gold. ugh.

I think maybe it is because the higher the + (EX+6-10 or higher) , lowers the durability way too much, and the repairs are more frequent since the durability is 50 and below…. I never buy anything that is less then 80 durability, and will buy below 80 if really cheap, because I consider them to be throw aways, not worth using an EXPENSIVE repair scroll on it… AND Weapons especially, like my bow, degrade way to fast, a lot faster still then my armor.
Q: Please consider splitting up signs into their own separate types, ie, Flat Wall, Hanging Wall and Floor – for both crafted and Add-on Store. I’d love to craft individual signs or buy bundled Flat Walls signs ONLY.
I love the 2017 Ornate Scythe and it would look great if it could show if equipped in the harvesting animation.

Could some skills that provide limited usefulness the more you improve them (i.e. Night Vision only seems to grant more duration at higher skill and can just be recast for the essentially the same effect) or are somewhat boring grinds such as Light, Escape, and Reveal Hidden be reworked to offer tiers of new benefits the higher you get them? Using Night Vision as an extreme example, at 50 night vision, 75, and 100 you could could receive stat bonuses or at least see graphically interesting things such as illuminating constellations in the sky and improving the colors of the environment so you can better detect resources. This would entice players to do more than get the skill to 20 and then lock it and move on in the tree or encourage them to skill into them for specific bonuses they can anticipate even if the skill itself is not useful to them. Just a thought and hopefully it is a new perspective and not asked all the time.
Does the advent of the skill ‘heat’ system mean that expansion of the glyph combo system is dead?

Question: With recall/teleport scrolls now dropping at a relatively high rate from mobs, the market for scrolls crafted by players is no longer relevant (most players can get all the scrolls they need from mob drops). Was this intended? If so – would be good to know, so that scroll crafters (and potion crafters to some extent) can plan accordingly – i.e. go craft and sell something else. Thanks!
Agreed My Recall and Teleport Scroll sales have dropped to Zero due to the “Drops”
That makes growing Reagents and Alchemy much less Valuable.
It is very hard to make any significant income from crafting.
There needs to be some Commodities that players can sell to other players to create a player based Economy.
Q1: Have you considered raising the prices of Reagents from NPCs or eliminating them entirely to help Agriculture to be meaningful. Most high end foods and Potions must come from players, Making scrolls and Reagents player sold items would be a start.
How fast is gear breaking? Some people say “it lasts forever!” Some people say “it breaks in minutes!” Do you have metrics on this?
Follow up on gear breakage: is that why gear is so hard to sell for its crafting cost, or is there something else going on?

My first question is a request from a backer since 2013. I will try to make sense to explain. Most of my questions are about connecting the world in fun ways.
Question 1: Why can’t this game have a contiguous world that is not an almost universally disjointed world with areas that are thrown in and don’t make sense, and are small sometimes zoning you out at will if you explore too far, hard to find or to even know about, with no built in travel for those who don’t want to take the time to walk the map?
Question 2: What systems can we expect to see come in place that will connect the world for example in lieu of an in-game achievement systems what would we see come in later and can we hear ideas like perhaps the dev teams thoughts on how fishing and boating might effect our world?
Question 3: Besides questing and grinding what other plans are there for giving us explorations reasons to visit and revisit scenes and is it possible some scenes will get connected to be larger and more explore-able without kicking us out if we explore too far.
I love so much that is being done by the team. I so love the reaper and want a giant rock creature that comes out of cliffs. I want these to surprise us and not show themselves until we get closer. I am not trying to be a downer, but the reason to explore is too vague right now imo.
I want to go to hidden fishing spots and enjoy the discovery of a new fish or something in the pond floating.

1) Would it be possible to add additional weaker tiered versions of bosses and mini bosses that can be killed by solo players like there are for all the other creatures in SotA? E.g. Reaper Saplings, Young Phoenixes, Hill, Mountain, etc. trolls, Wyverns, Drakes, etc. If you’re wondering I mainly play Solo Online, and I find it very unsatisfying not to be able to kill bosses solo even though I am very high level, but I understand why I shouldn’t be able to kill them solo, but killing weaker versions of them would at least give me the feeling of accomplishment that I get in other solo games as I level up.
2) When will my completed quests in SotA make a difference in the world from an individual Solo Online perspective? E.g. when will murders be put in jail, Spirit Talkers stop hanging out at taverns and saying the same thing after they have already finished helping me, etc., and main quest NPCs stay dead instead of still remaining on their original maps for at least me as I finish the main quest lines and side quests.
3) When will side quests finally be added to Adventure Maps along the Path of Love/Perennial Coast parts of Novia like they are being added along the paths of truth and courage? E.g. the Adventure Maps along the Path of Love may not be clones of other maps like the maps being un-cloned, but they still all lack little to no side quests within each map, so the only thing I can do in them is grind for XP/gather resources, and hope a bundle or two is dropped every so often.

Once it was said that if you do some action you will be visable, but invisibility will come back automatically as long as shadowwalk buff is active.

Q3- Awhile ago Chris changed the way Riposte works in game yet it is still coming up in the masterwork list thus wasting other wanted masterworks to pick from. Is this a bug or has been forgotten about? I remember hearing this question a few telethons ago and the very least should be just taken out of the masterwork list.
The working being done on uncloning scenes is awesome. They look great and are a lot of fun. My questions are:
How many scenes are left to be uncloned?
It appears that 2 to 3 new scenes open per release and do you see that being what we should expect moving forward or will we start seeing more scenes being uncloned per release in the future?
When will the audio for female NPCs at seige-types scenes be fixed to not have the moaning? The female cowering of wounded or dying NPCs make my husband look at me with an arched eyebrow. If I am going to have him accuse me of looking at naughty bits on the internet, I’d like to be doing just that. (This is not a request for Adultima BTW.)
