I'm not certain, but I think Avatars Radio will be based out of there. http://avatarsradio.info

That makes sense. I hope that they get a Moon Tower topped with a mirror ball. :)

I guess they have decided immersion has taken a back seat to user content.

We have come from earth so we have radios. It was a design decision to go with medieval attire. Sor normally I dont think you would associate radios with medieval settings, but I don't ever think this game will totally be normal anyway. There are too many fingers in the cooking pot.;)I think it will be a good thing in the long run.:)

For some sure, for those looking for an rpg...I'm not so sure...

I understand the wanting to cash in on playerowned towns, but is there no control on what they can be called etc? What kind of lore will be here other then a mishmash of peoples lord of the rings and whatever other fantasybook they are reading.

Just pushed out the latest map update. It includes the Island towns, has the towns color coded by type, and the island towns are outlined in blue. Let me know what it's still missing and any changes. I think I fixed all the overlapping labels too so they all should be showing up now. Enjoy.

FYI... major kudo's to Birko for giving me a tip that helped me map most of the island towns quickly and accurately. :)

Ummm.... Arthur C. Clark's third law: Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.

The Ultima series has never been pure medieval or the average, run of the mill, medieval fantasy. It is a bit more in keeping with Barsoom and Witch WorId. I wouldn't be at all surprised if the reason we have Aether Vibration Amplifiers started with a conversation of: What if Da Vinci knew about the Bagdad Batteries.

Back to the map! Thanks for the Key Cartodude! It is very handy.

    Cartodude,
We both make maps, but have to announce that Cartodude solved a major mapping enigma.
I think the answer can now be "yes".

Map is updated for R21 POT's and a few errors I found. I really noticed this time just how bad the hand drawn map is compared to the overhead view. The map in the R21 Instructions showing the new towns has some huge difference compared to the actual overland map in game. Made finding some of the new POT's a bit of a pain this time as I was trying to use it to locate the new towns...

... just want to post that I know I've been remiss in not updating for a couple of releases... RL issues (work and health) have interfered with my SotA time. And with the release of Fallout 4 now... well what can I say... ;). I do apologize for not updating... I'm going to catch up, but not until January. I'm going to have lots of time then while I'm off work recovering from surgery... so I need something fun to do then and this map update will be one of them! looking forward to diving back in then and searching for all the new content. :) I promise I haven't forgotten...

Look forward to seeing you back Carto. Hope all is well health wise. Give me a yell if you want the data for locations. It's a database that gets bigger at each release, and it is hard to keep up if you miss a release.
Also check out Jakub White's excellent mapping at sotamap.com.
I was about to do an R23, but now it's a few days from R24...

Thanks, I may take you up on that data ... but more for QC purposes. A lot of the fun is wondering around and collecting it (ok fun for me... ;) ) But I would like to double check to make sure I've got it all when I'm done in January.

I've seen Jakub White's map and I love it. His sotamap.com is what I originally wanted to do but don't have a means to host a site (I did test it out on our office GIS dev site one weekend just for the fun of it and it worked beautifully. When you've got a full suite of GIS tools at your disposal you can do some really cool analysis of the data. :D )
