Oh! Oops! Thanks for correcting that, Starr! I was going with some earlier information I'd received, as far as the emotes go...

Does this mean the /taost emote will also be changing to require a mug to be equipped? It doesnt make much sense to summon a tall frosty one.

Yeah - I caught that too - /spyglass doesn't require that the device is equipped either. I'm good either way so long as there is some uniformity.

I don't think that the spyglass should need to be equipped. It makes perfect sense to me that, as long as it's in your inventory, you'll whip it out when you use the emote.

Nice collection of pipes. Would love to see a corn pipe.

A corn pipe, straw hat, and a fishing pole, and I'm all set.

I'm assuming so... The pipes get equipped in the sword hand (instead of a weapon or other such right-handed item)...so assuming you can wear a hat and hold a weapon, you can wear a hat and hold your pipe instead...

We hope to eventually do something like that as well, but for now we'll have to wait and see if we can solve some of the base problems with decorating using MANY of the equippables... It's one of those things that will require a degree of problem-solving that we just can't spare the time for as we rush toward the next milestone... I have some ideas about how to do this, but we'll have to figure it out fully a bit later... Worry not! We're all thinking on the same page with this, and with the same degree of hope!

Not ideal that it takes a weapon slot up. It's similar to the spyglass in that it needs to be equipped to use it. It would be great if we could just put these small non-combat weapons in our inventory and then use them whenever we wanted to. Keeps us ready to fight and ready to roleplay evenly well. :)

A 'costume' or 'aesthetic' slot on our paper doll for things like this would be great.

Ha ha! Perhaps,...but in my opinion, pipes have been viewed by many cultures as essentially "peaceful" pastimes enjoyed with allies and comrades... It's something you shared with another when you felt comfortable enough in their presence to feel safe... A drink in one hand, and a pipe in the other,...and a shared moment of peace... This is the scene you would see in taverns the world over... Adding a weapon to that mix was considered rude and unseemly; utterly out of place and frowned upon... I don't even smoke,...and yet,....this rings true to me...

Indeed,... but there are many other equippables that don't, and I'm not close enough to the code side of the issue to know why, exactly.... All I can say is that there was concerned push-back when having them as collectible deco items was suggested (most likely because of the way the code requires certain objects to have strange rotations for them to appear in the hand correctly, which disallow them to be easily placed as decorations)... They admitted there may be ways around this (such as setting up extra code to allow owned pipes to appear in special "display racks" that you could place on a mantle or table or something),....but again,...it's extra code that would need to be scheduled for sometime after the next milestone or so... Don't worry,...we agree that they should eventually be home decorations,...just not something we can handle immediately...
