I'm kind of amazed that nobody else asked this yet (or at least I didn't spot in the the FAQ), but if I'm bringing a friend and s/he is using the Alienware Bonus first, they get a "Guilt Pledge". Then they select to upgrade that to Adventurer, but that doesn't allow them to include a referral, does it?

New question:
people outside the US will have to pay import duty and taxes to get their physical items deliverd. Thats about 20% based on the sum of the value of the imported goods and the cost of shipping and insurance.
so the question is: What is the value of our items ? The pledge level ? How will this be handled ?

 

I think only new pledges can have a referral. Due to the guilt pledge this is no longer a brand new pledge.

 

Which is exactly the problem. The 20$ Alienware Coupon automatically creates the pledge for the person with no chance to set up data. So that basically means one can not reffer somebody if the person wants to use the Coupon in advance, right? Kind of... sad

 

I do not see this as a problem. It is only blocking a situation, which would allow a player, who wants to upgrade his main account, to gain basically a free adventurer pledge as byproduct per each 25 Dollar pledged.
(Create a new account - gain 20$ from Alienware - pay 25$ on top to upgrade that pledge to Adventurer and enter your main account as referrer therefore getting these 25$ directly back to invest in your main account ...)
It is very clear for me, that this method would not be in the interest of Portalarium (or of any other players).

The problem (to me) is that by preventing the "cheater", you're also punishing the "legal" customer. I'm going to miss out on the bonus and both me and the person I reffered are missing out on the emote, simply because I am not going to make my friend pay more than he'd need to.

But that discussion would lead the thread off topic, sorry.

 

Hi @enderandrew, you may want to update the section below. Row lots are already available in the Add-on store.

How can I purchase a Lot Deed?There are three ways to purchase a Lot Deed. Backers at Ancestor level and above receive Lot Deed with their pledge. Players can also purchase a Lot Deed in the game through earned in game currency. Finally players can purchase Row, Village, Town and City size Lot Deeds from the Add On store. (Note: Row lots are not in the store yet, but should be added soon!)

Instead up upgrading a pledge I made a whole new one. Will my pledges be combined or do I now have two accounts or whatever?

 

you can ask them to be combined or you can play them as separate accounts..

 

If you'd like to combine two pledges, send an email to support@portalarium.com.
