As the title says, if I never logged in during lot selection, what happens? Do I still have the deed/voucher/whatever (or rather will have once a char is created since I haven't logged in since before the last wipe)? or did I lose it?

You get all of your rewards from the bank with the claim rewards button

you still have a deed to claim with, and there are still plenty of lots to choose. it's just the most popluar cities where they're scarce.

I'd say that in many cases, they're better as people are spending time actively doing stuff with them. There are NPC towns that, as we sit here today, are a total waste of space.

Here's a good example. I fell in love with the idea of living in Brekken Bay, to the north of Brittany. Great name, lovely location. Town has a great museum but, otherwise, is dead as a nit.

I guess it depends on the player. I would live in a POT with my guild but if I were a PVPer I would keep my stash in one of those dead towns. Who would bother to go there unless you made a big show of living there.

As others have said, deed will be in your bank, and there are many house sites available still as they havent sold more deeds than there is space. If yours is an original place anywhere youll have a choice of a few npc towns and
many player owned towns. Last I looked both elads lighthouse and storms reach had spots available of all sizes, other places have free space too just check at the town crier in each town.

NPC cities usually come in two varieties, completely empty or completely full. Having lived in both npc and pot, I much prefer a well run player owned town.
