I'm with PrimeRib on the OP topic .

I'm hoping for a more open ended system than one where a lawful good warrior type has to feel compelled to use divine lay-on-hands as their primary magic. Could there be some version of do-gooder paladin who creates peace by freezing enemies in place so that they cannot harm each other? Or one who uses air magic to shield others against an evil foe. Other than D&D manuals, who is to say that the also cannot be viewed as divine forces for good. D&D cleric spells cover a lot of ground like this that could lend themselves to different versions of a sanctified knight. I am sure the definition can be argued. But at the end of the day, it is all in the role playing and how the individual warrior chooses to present the purpose of his skills as they use them. Playing paladins is great fun. But being able to create a more unique take on the concept can be even more fun.
