You guys have a good time playing with the thieves. I had more than enough when, for several months, we tried to run a PvP tournament in a PvP town. Kinkara did nothing but steal from everyone in the audience that he could. Unfortunately banning from the lot is not a feasible response since we cannot "ban" from the lot. I'll take a pass on the PvP aspect of this game, thank you.

Kinkara is pretty weak in combat, if you couldn't handle setting up security to stop him, it's probably a good idea you stay out of pvp.

Yes, they were very easy to kill before the nerf... I don't know now. I say before because the pickpocket glyph was on their combat bar - so they didn't load much stuff for combat and they had little to zero defenses. Now, with the glyph being on the non-combat bar - they can have a fully loaded and combat ready bar to jump into when they're caught... might be a little harder to kill them now.

I used to love standing in front of vendors and merchants and just wait for one of them to sneak up behind me... I'd jump around and unload on them with arrows and give chase. I don't see any of that being fun now with how the thief mechanic was completely turned inside out. Oh well.

I think that can directly translate into interest in the feature. ;)

On the up side, I asked 3 questions but apparently my account has been upgraded to requiring moderator approval for my posts. :p

Do not, I repeat, do not craft while pvp flagged. This is not the fault of the game you were picked while crafting, being flagged means you can be picked. The answer here is simple, do not flag when doing things that require you to carry a bunch of stuff. Go to the oracle and unflag or leave the pvp zone. Now that you know this, will you be flagged to craft again? its not a design flaw, it was your mistake for not knowing, and now that you do, will you make that same mistake again?

Same goes for being afk while pvp flagged.

The simple solution is if you don't want to be bothered by other people, don't flag for PvP. Ever. It's worked good for me so far. ;)

    Kiln, crafting.

Does it matter for some reason if I was interacting with a merchant?

Yes. I was crafting. Now that I am aware it happens the simple solution was to spend ten minutes travelling to an oracle and unflagging. I wont be flagging for PvP again, that is mostly the point I am making. There is no good time for me to be flagged for PvP unless I am on my way to a planned fight and it is too tedious to turn on and off all the time. I am just not turning it back on.

Yes. Up untill recently I played friends only and was happier for It.

But then what is the point of it being an online game? I can just play offline and would be better off doing so.

So it was obvious I wasnt interested in PvP with you at that point, but you did it anyway.
If anyone ever wants your help they will ask you first. Griefing them and then blaming them and then getting angry and casting spells at them is not useful to anyone. You were just being an ass.

I do like the idea, but heavily concerned it will only justify and encourage griefing and make annoying other players a rewarding part of the game.

What about that makes you not a thief? You steal from many people, that is what a thief is.

    Sure.

Had it been obvious that people were just going to steal from my inventory while I was working I would never have even considered turning PvP on in the first place. That is a stupid idea, the only people who think it is good are the people using it to grief others.

I expect most people who are fully aware of how it works just dont turn it on ever. And now I am one of those people.

You are right of course, turning PvP on in the first place was asking for trouble. It was stupid and I should never have done it. That is part of why I thought it needed a post, had I known how it worked I would never have turned it on. That is less than desireable in a game feature.
